Rotary hammers from Bosch are truly multi-talented tools: Hammering, drilling and chiselling are combined in one tool. They are in their element not only when drilling in concrete with their pneumatic hammer mechanism, but also when producing and fitting solid wooden structures such as summer houses or carports.
A rotary hammer is a power tool with a rotating machine tool for drilling in masonry, concrete, artificial and natural stone. It is equipped with a percussive hammer mechanism. The striking energy is independent of operator pressure. When the hammer mechanism is turned off, the rotary hammer can be used like a drill; when the rotation mechanism is turned off, it turns into a chipping hammer. Tool speed and impact force of the tool can be adjusted electronically to match the processed material and application.
The Bosch PBH 2100 RE gets all the jobs done: drilling holes (especially in concrete up to 20 mm drill diameter), screwdriving, drilling in wood, steel or even chiselling in renovation projects at home (such as cutting electrical channels in concrete or removing bathroom or paving tiles). The PBH 2100 RE comes with a powerful 550 W motor which ensures effortless hammering in concrete and masonry, chiselling and drilling.
The pneumatic Bosch hammer mechanism has an impact energy of 1.7 joules (15 per cent higher performance than its predecessor PBH 2000 RE). This gives high impact force in hard materials regardless of the feed pressure. It enables you to drill through walls quickly without tiring yourself out.
Whether hammering, chiselling, drilling or screwdriving, the selection switch ensures you have the right setting. The impact stop switches off the hammer mechanism when drilling in wood or metal and when screwdriving. The rotation stop switches off the rotary motion when chiselling.
The Bosch SDS-Plus system allows for rapid bit fitting. The specially designed drill bits enable optimum power transfer from the machine. In addition to this, the Bosch SDS quick-change chuck allows tool-free changing of the SDS-plus fitting and the standard chuck for normal straight-shank drill or screwdriver bits.
The low weight of 2.2kg and an ergonomic slim-line design gives added user comfort for effortless drilling and fatigue-free working. The Softgrip handle gives users a ideal grip and control of the machine. In comparison to its predecessor (PBH 2000 RE) the Bosch PBH 2100 RE features an optimised size-weight ratio, due to improvement in size of 10 per cent, which makes the tool even more compact.
The Bosch Electronic speed control trigger allows the user to vary the motor speed from zero to maximum using the trigger switch.
