The Bosch Universalimpact 800 is an 800w hammer drill with a speed preselection dial, variable speed trigger, forward & reverse modes, 2 gears and a lock on button for continuous operation without having to keep the trigger depressed. Suitable for screw-driving, rotary drilling or hammer drilling into tough materials like brick and concrete, the machine is also equipped with a Kickback Control system which disengages the motor in the event that a bit or accessory jams in the workpiece. A drill without this feature is prone to rotate aggressively under its own power, causing possible injury or damage in the process, meaning that the Universalimpact 800 is a safer choice when using accessories prone to jamming, like hole saws, or where there is a chance of drilling into hidden objects in walls (e.g rebar in concrete).
