SELF-CLEANING TECHNOLOGY

This state-of-the-art bottle is capable of cleaning itself and purifying the water inside it. Using environmentally friendly UV-C technology, the bottle can purify up to 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.99% of viruses when set to Adventure Mode.

Ultraviolet light in the C spectrum (UV-C) is an energy-rich light with a wavelength of 200-400 nanometres. It works by killing or inactivating microorganisms, destroying their DNA so they can no longer function or reproduce. The UV-C light neutralises any harmful bacteria so that it becomes harmless and safe to drink, meaning both your bottle and water are clean.

The bottle is made from 18/8 stainless steel which contributes to maximising the effects of the UV-C technology, by reflecting the UV light around the bottle and distributing it in all directions. This ensures that even the base of the bottle and awkward areas around the neck are targeted too.

TWO CLEANING MODES

You can fill up your water bottle from any water source, however the bottle is not able filter physical impurities in the water so always filter murky water before purifying.

Screw on the cap and press it to start purifying your water. The bottle has two modes, Normal and Adventure. Press the button once for Normal, or twice for Adventure Mode. The Normal Mode is indicated by a breathing sky blue light, Adventure Mode can be identified by a pulsing blue light. You should give the bottle a gentle shake during the purifying cycle to help the UV light spread evenly throughout the water.

EXTRA PURIFYING POWER

If you're filling up your LARQ bottle from a trusted water source, you'll only need to press the button once to activate Normal Mode. This will start a 60-second cycle to purify the water.

If you feel your water needs some extra purifying power, you can press the button twice to activate Adventure Mode. A 3-minute purifying cycle will then begin to leave you with pure drinking water.

The bottle also self-cleans every 2 hours, conducting a 10-second cycle to intelligently clean every crevice of your bottle. You can turn this off if you need to store your water bottle, by holding down the button for 5 seconds. This activates Travel Lock and prevents your bottle from self-cleaning until it is switched back on.
